The company discovered that software expenditure was 6% up last year to £27.5 billion, from £25.8 billion in 2013. In Q1 of 2015 companies have expended £6.9bn on software.

"The increase in software spend proves organisations need to be smarter and faster, but they need to make sure they are investing in the correct technologies that will help them to rationalise their work processes to support the industry that they are now in, and the prospective business they want to be”.
