Alice House Hospice

As the only adult hospice in the Hartlepool and East Durham area, Alice House Hospice offers support and care for people affected by a life-limiting illness or the death of a loved one.

The Hospice was one of our first clients, joining us from our inception in April 2005, having previously worked with managing director Kevin Embleton.


Challenge

As a health service provider, where inpatient care is provided 24/7, access to key information and systems is required at all times in order to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care delivery possible.


Solution

Concept IT provides the Hospice with a range of IT services, from a dedicated engineer who is on-site two half days per week, remote telephone support and monthly review meetings to providing assistance with completion and compliance with the annual NHS Digital Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSP Toolkit).

The range of services Concept IT supports the Hospice with has grown over the past 15 years as both organisations have developed and evolved through the integration of emerging technologies.

Through regular monthly management meetings, Concept IT has worked with the Hospice to ensure that its IT network has a resilient business continuity model, guaranteeing that key operational services remain available and secure at all times.
