Willow Burn Hospice

Willow Burn Hospice, near Lanchester, County Durham, offers end-of-life care for those with terminal illness, and support for those close to them.

Challenge

Concept IT has worked with the hospice since 2018 to deal with all their IT needs. During the coronavirus pandemic, the challenge was to ensure continuity in the charity’s work, allowing the team to keep offering their vital support.

Solution

We provide Willow Burn with a full managed IT service, including anti-virus and anti-spam software, back-up and half a day on site each month, as well as providing and maintaining phone lines.

Rachel Todd, Willow Burn’s marketing communications manager, said: “The Concept IT team have been on hand to help us to navigate the implementation of new equipment and software, as well the ongoing service of the charity for everyday IT needs.

“IT can be daunting for those not used to it, but with Concept there is no such thing as a stupid question – the team are always happy to help and that’s really important, especially with all the uncertainty at the moment.”

Results

Having a full IT service in place, along with a dedicated team ready to help with any issues or problems, has enabled the Willow Burn team to continue its vital work during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown.
